Owner of the process

The owner of the information processing is the University of Trento, with legal premises in Via Belenzani 12, 38122 Trento (TN), Italy.

Place/location of the data processing

The information processing regarding the website services mainly take place at the premises of the teaching, research and administrative facilities of the University.

Kind of processed information

Web surfing data
During the surfing the homepage/website records some personal information, whose transmission is implicit in the use of the internet communication protocols.
This information are not collected to be associated to the identified users, which could, due to their nature, allow for the identification of users, through processing and associations with the information owned by third parties.
This information include IP addresses, the name of the PC dominium used by users connecting to the website, the URI addresses of the required resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the dimension of the obtained file, the numeric code identifying the status of the reply from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the OS, the browser and the informatics environment of the user. This information is used to obtain statistic information on the use of the website, to monitor its correct functioning and they are stored only for the necessary span of time. This information could be used to ascertain the responsibility in case of hypothetical informatics crimes against the website.

Information provided voluntarily by the user
The discretionary, voluntary, explicit submission via email to the email addresses listed on the website implies the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, which is necessary to reply to the requests, as well as of the other personal information contained in the email message.

No personal information of the users is acquired on purpose by the website.
Cookies are not used to transmit personal information. C.D. persistent cookies are not used, nor user tracking systems.
The use of c.d. session cookies (which are not persistently saved on the users' PC and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of information identifying the session (made of casual numbers generated by the server) which are necessary to permit the safe and efficient browsing of the website.
The c.d. session cookies used in the website avoid the use of other informatics techniques which potentially jeopardize the privacy of the navigation of the users and do not allow for the acquisition of personal information which may identify the user.

Provision of the information

Apart from what already specified as for the web surfing information, the users are free to voluntarily surrender their personal details in the various forms published in the website. The refusal to provide such information may result in the impossibility to obtain what is required.

Personal information is processed as automatized tools for the time which is strictly necessary to pursue the objectives for which they have been collected. Specific security measures are applied to prevent the loss of information, their illicit or incorrect use and the unauthorized access.

Rights of the users

The subjects to which the personal information have the right, at all times, to obtain the confirmation of their existence and to know their content, origin, to verify their exactness or require the integration or update, or their modification (art. 7, Legislative Decree no. 196/2003).

The owner of the personal information, abiding by the same article, has the right to ask for their cancellation, transformation in anonymous form or the closing down of the information processed in breach of law, and to oppose in all cases, for legitimate reasons, their processing.
